It is used to clean clogged nozzles in 3D Printers. Unfortunately, the nozzle in 3D printers can become clogged even in professional 3D printers, a 0.4mm Drill Bit / Needle Tip can be used to clean them. A good drill bit set is an indispensable tool for 3D printer maintenance.
1. Heat the nozzle to the temperature you normally print at.
2. Pass some filament through the nozzle and then remove the filament. Remove the nozzle from the 3D printer when it is at full printing temperature. It is very important not to remove it while it is cold to avoid damaging it.
3. Do not apply excessive force to the heater block and hold the heatsink securely when removing the nozzle. Be careful not to burn yourself because it is hot.
4. After removing the nozzle, place it in the solvent, acetone for ABS and caustic soda for PLA.
5. Using the drill bit, remove as much filament as you can.
6. Carefully insert the correct size drill bit into the nozzle by hand. Do not use a drill. Do not bend drill bits as they will break. Do not increase the size of the hole. To avoid damaging 3D printer nozzles, we recommend that you always clean them from the inside to the outside, rather than from the outside. 3D printing nozzles are usually made of soft metals like brass, these drill bits are made of hardened steel, so be careful.
7. After cleaning, you can insert the nozzle into your 3D printer, but only at printing temperature.< /P>
8. You will need to calibrate your height to the print bed before the next 3D Print.
