They are precision high-speed operational amplifiers designed for applications requiring wide bandwidth and high slew rate. They have a tenfold speed increase over general purpose devices without sacrificing DC performance.
There is internal unity gain frequency compensation. This significantly simplifies its implementation as no external components are required for operation. However, unlike most internally compensated amplifiers, external frequency compensation can be added for optimum performance. For inverting applications, feedforward compensation will increase the slew rate to over 150V/μs and nearly double the bandwidth. Overcompensation with the amplifier can be used for greater stability when maximum bandwidth is not required. Additionally, a single capacitor can be added to reduce the 0.1% settling time to less than 1 μs.
