LM338 series adjustable 3-terminal positive voltage regulators, It can supply more than 5 A in the 1.2-V to 32-V output range. They are extremely easy to use and require only 2 resistors to adjust the output voltage. Careful circuit design has resulted in exceptional load and line regulation compared to many commercial power supplies. The LM338 family is supplied in a standard 3-pin transistor package.
