LM3886 to 4Ω load with 0.1% THD+N between 20Hz–20kHz It is a high-performance audio power amplifier capable of delivering 68W continuous average power and 38W continuous average power into 8Ω.
LM3886's Self Peak Instantaneous Temperature (°Ke) (SPiKe) ) performance using protection circuitry puts it in a class above discrete and hybrid amplifiers by providing an inherently dynamically protected Safe Operating Area (SOA). SPiKe protection means that these parts are fully protected against overloads including output overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit to supplies, thermal runaway and sudden temperature peaks.
