LM723 / LM723C is a voltage regulator designed primarily for series regulator applications. On its own, it will provide output currents of up to 150 mA; however external transistors can be added to provide any desired load current. The circuit has extremely low standby current drain.
The LM723/LM723C is also useful in a wide variety of other applications such as a shunt regulator, current regulator or temperature controller.
