Pololu Zumo Robot Kit Arduino Compatible v1.2 (No Motor)
This kit includes most of the parts you need to build an Arduino controlled Zumo robot. Includes a Zumo Shield for Arduino, v1.2, Zumo chassis kit and Zumo blade. To complete your Zumo robot, you'll need a pair of micro metal gearmotors, four AA batteries, and an A-Star 32U4 Prime or Arduino. This kit is disassembled; assembly required.
Required Accessories (Not included in the kit)
Two micro metal gearmotor. These gearmotors are available in a variety of power options and a wide range of gear ratios, allowing for a customizable combination of torque and speed. Zumo Shield can provide enough power for micro metal gearmotors, including high power (HP) versions.
Four AA battery. The Zumo chassis runs on both alkaline and NiMH batteries, but we recommend rechargeable NiMH batteries.
A Arduino or a compatible controller board. Works with Zumo Shield, A-Star 32U4 Prime, Arduino Uno and Arduino Leonardo. Not compatible with Arduino Mega or Due.
Optional Accessories
Zumo reflectance sensor array. This sensor bar mounts along the front edge of the Zumo shield, allowing the Zumo to detect features on the ground in front of it, trailing or edges to avoid. Designed specifically for use with the Zumo display.
To charge the Zumo's battery via the Zumo Shield's 2-pin charging port iMAX-B6AC battery charger. Note that if you plan to power the Zumo with rechargeable cells, you only need the charger, and the charger must be able to charge 4 NiMH cells in series. Alternatively, since the Zumo only uses regular AA batteries, You can use AA chargers(in which you insert individual cells).
Motor Selection
Zumo robot kit is shipped without a motor and can be used with 2 different motor options.
