UC3846N is a Current that provides all the features necessary to implement fixed frequency, current mode control schemes while maintaining the minimum number of external parts. Its mode is PWM Controller. The superior performance of this technique can be measured by improved line arrangement, improved load response characteristics, and a simpler, easier-to-design control loop. Topological advantages include the ability to limit pulse-to-pulse current, automatic symmetry correction for push-pull converters, and the ability to create parallel "power modules" while maintaining equal current sharing. In addition to soft start, the protection circuitry includes built-in low voltage lockout and programmable current limit.
