74HC164 SMD Integrated
74HC164 is an 8-bit serial-in / parallel-out shift register. The device has two serial data inputs (DSA and DSB) and eight parallel data outputs (Q0 - Q7). Data is entered serially via DSA or DSB, and either input can be used as an active HIGH enable for data input via the other input. Data is shifted from LOW to HIGH transitions of the clock (CP) input. It clears a LOW register on the master reset input (MR) and forces all outputs LOW, regardless of other inputs. Inputs include clamp diodes. This enables the use of current limiting resistors to interface the inputs to voltages above VCC.
