The DAC0808 is an 8-bit monolithic digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a full-scale output current tuning time of 150 ns while emitting only 33 mW with ±5V sources. Since full-scale output current is typically ±1 LSB of 255 IREF/256, reference current (IREF) trimming is not required for most applications. Relative accuracies better than ±0.19% provide 8-bit monotonicity and linearity, while for zero-level output current less than 4 µA IREF>=2 mA provide 8-bit zero accuracy. The DAC0808's power supply currents are independent of bitcodes and exhibit essentially constant device characteristics over the entire supply voltage range.
