NEMA 17 28 cm Screw Shaft Bipolar, 200 Steps, 42×38mm, 2.8V Stepper Motor - PL-2268
SY42STH38-1684A hybrid bipolar stepper motor 1.8° It has a step angle (200 steps / revolution). Each phase draws 1.68A at 2.8 V, allowing a holding torque of 3.7 kg-cm. The motor has four color-coded wires terminated with bare ends: black and green connect to a coil; red and blue are connected together. The motor can be controlled with a pair of suitable H-bridges (one for each coil), but bipolar
stepper motor driver.
42 × 38 mm NEMA17 stepper motor with a built-in ball screw instead of the normal output shaft, makes it easy to move an object or platform in a linear motion with the precision of a stepper motor. Motors like this are especially popular for use in home-built 3D printers (e.g. RepRap) and CNC machines. The ball screw extends from the surface of the stepper motor and is integrated into the motor itself, so you don't have to deal with shaft couplings or loose set screws. This stepper motor is available in ball screw versions with different lengths of 18 cm, 28 cm and 38 cm.
The supplied copper alloy drive nut has four holes for M3 screws. Includes mounting flange. The nut moves 8.0 mm per full revolution of the guide motor, providing a linear resolution of 0.040 mm per full step of the stepper motor. Even smaller step sizes can be achieved with microstepping, a feature of many bipolar stepper motor drivers. However, please note that the nut is not spring-loaded, so changes in direction will result in loss of positioning accuracy due to backlash.
Describe the details of the system, including the maximum achievable linear speed, load and motor supply voltage. It depends. Under ideal conditions (e.g. gradual increase of step speed, high supply voltage and no load), speeds close to 30 cm/s can be achieved with the 28 cm lead screw version.
