8 of 5050 (5mm x 5mm) smart RGB LEDs are placed on a PCB with mounting holes and a chainable design . The strips are 'chainable' - you can connect them together by connecting the output pin of one to the input pin of another! Each LED driver chip is addressable while inside the LED. Each has a ~18mA constant current driver, so the color is very consistent even if the voltage changes.
