SOLDABSORB Desoldering Wire consists of copper threads braided together. It allows the solder to flow to the wick where it should not be. For this reason, solder wick is sometimes called desoldering wire/soldering cleaning wire. It is generally used to remove excess solder and to desolder a soldered component.
