VEML7700 Ambient Light Sensor
The VEML7700 ambient light sensor is a nice and simple lux sensor that can be easily added to any microcontroller. Most light sensors just give a number for brighter/darker ambient light. VEML7700 makes your life easier by calculating lux, an SI unit for light. Because you don't have to mess with units, you get more consistent readings across multiple sensors.
The sensor has 16-bit dynamic range for ambient light detection from 0 lux to approximately 120k lux and 0.0036 It comes with software-adjusted gain and integration times with lx/ct resolution.
There is a JST-SH connection connector input on the product for those who do not want to solder outside the connection pins.
Connection:
- VCC: 2.7V-5V
- GND: Ground
- SCL: I2C clock pin
- SDA: I2C data pin
- 3Vo: This is the 3.3V output from the voltage regulator, you can output up to 100mA if you want.
