DS1302 is a timekeeping chip that includes a real-time clock/calendar and 31 bytes of static RAM. DS1302 uses serial communication to interact with microcontrollers. It also automatically adjusts the date of the month with fewer days. The clock operates in 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator.
The DS1302 chip is also used as the DS1302 RTC module, which is widely used in a small SIP module compatible with a breadboard that comes with a 32 kHz crystal and internal battery backup. The DS1302 module is used by manufacturers with Arduino, Raspberry Pi and other Microcontrollers.
