Both inputs are implemented in differential circuits, so that the input signals are none and only the multiplication signal appears at the output. Double-balanced mixers are more complex and require higher excitation levels than unbalanced and mono-balanced designs. Standard SMA female connectors are suitable for connecting most devices.
