3-Axis Brushless Drone Camera Gimbal
Flying is pretty awesome, but recording your flight for later playback is even more awesome! If you already have a GoPro, you're halfway there, combine it with this 3-axis brushless gimbal and you'll be ready to record stunning cinematic video in no time.
This 3-Axis Brushless Gimbal' The great thing about it is that it comes ready to use right out of the box with pre-installed firmware and setup by Flying Tech! All that is required is to mount it to your multicopter using the supplied 10mm rail mounting hooks or spacers to bolt directly to your frame. What's more, the gimbal will also fit the DJI Phantom without any modification to the mounting bracket.
The gimbal can be used directly from your flight battery to quickly and easily power the DYS Smart Supplied with a female JST connector that can be plugged into 3S balance port adapters. If you want to control the gimbal remotely, the mini Alexmos controller provides a useful 5V to power a receiver.
The gimbal is preset with the 3rd axis set in 'follow mode'. It will come configured. This means that the gimbal will follow the forward-facing direction of the fuselage, but correct for disturbances and movement as the helicopter yaws.
Please note While the gimbal comes ready to install, before using We recommend calibrating an accelerometer and gyroscope. You may also need to optimize their PIDs to suit your flying style.
Calibration Steps
- Step 1. First mount the camera on the Gimbal. Mount to.
- Step 2. Secure the gimbal to the bottom of the Quadcopter frame or any plane surface.
- Step 3. Turn on the gimbal.
Note: After power on, the gimbal starts to calibrate, so do not touch or move the gimbal for 1 minute. After calibrating, the Gimbal beeps. Also, do not swallow the gimbal in your hand, it will not calibrate.
