DS1302 is a real-time clock/calendar and 31 bytes of static RAM contains a timekeeping chip. DS1302 uses serial communication to interact with microcontrollers. It also automatically adjusts the date of the month with fewer days. The clock operates in 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator.
The DS1302 chip is a small breadboard compatible device that comes with a 32 kHz crystal and internal battery backup. Widely used in SIP module, DS1302 is also used as RTC module. The DS1302 module is used by manufacturers with Arduino, Raspberry Pi and other Microcontrollers.
