Flux SK10 - Solder Repair Spray Polish
Lacquer-like flux solution based on natural resins without additives.
PROPERTIES
KONTAKT CHEMIE Flux SK 10, even It forms a transparent protective film that spreads smoothly. Soft solderable metals (e.g. copper, tin, lead, brass, steel) are protected against corrosion. Solderability is maintained, the protective film does not need to be removed before soldering, as it also acts as a highly effective flux.
APPLICATIONS
KONTAKT CHEMIE Flux SK 10, e.g. It is used for intermediate storage of bare PCBs and parts intended for soldering, such as solder terminals or cable lugs, to preserve the solderability of lead casting parts (accumulator manufacturing) and semi-finished products made of non-ferrous heavy metals.
INSTRUCTIONS
KONTAKT CHEMIE Flux SK 10 is best used from an aerosol for small series and service applications. Unusually for polishes, the spray is filled with environmentally friendly repellent carbon dioxide. With this product, you do not need to clean the valve by spraying the can upside down.
KONTAKT CHEMIE Flux SK 10 for series applications can be applied with a paint brush, dip coating or spraying as delivered. . In case of dip-coating, the dipping time and drawing speed must be fixed. The faster the retraction speed, the thicker the film.
KONTAKT CHEMIE Flux SK 10 is used for temporary corrosion protection and to maintain the solderability of soft solderable metals. The resin used protects against corrosion in dry environments and prevents direct contact of metals with dust, dirt and fingerprints.
It is also often used as a protective coating for PCBs, which are mostly used in dry environments. is used. However, in very humid environments the resin undergoes slow hydrolysis, as a result of which good corrosion protection properties and electrical properties are lost. For such applications we recommend using the proven PCB protective coating KONTAKT CHEMIE Plastic 70, KONTAKT CHEMIE Urethane 71 or KONTAKT CHEMIE Silisol 73.
If other coatings are to be applied after soldering, solderable lacquer The film should be removed. Alcohol, glycol ether or hydrocarbon based cleaners such as KONTAKT CHEMIE Label Off 50 are best for this. For smaller piece counts, the spray cleaner KONTAKT CHEMIE Kontact PCC is highly recommended.
The work area should be well ventilated when using KONTAKT CHEMIE Flux SK 10. Installations must be suitable for the use of varnishes containing flammable solvents. Additional safety information is found in the safety data sheet.
