Plastic 70 - Conformal Protective Coating Spray
Acrylic resin based, fast drying, colorless transparent insulation and protective coating.
PROPERTIES
PLASTIC 70 is a low viscosity, solvent drying acrylic based protective coating with excellent insulation properties. Lacquer is colorless, transparent and elastic. It has a durable adhesion in the temperature range of –40°C to +60°C and can be used for short periods.
Maximum duration up to +100°C. It protects printed circuit boards and surfaces from moist inorganic acid or caustic vapors.
PLASTIC 70 is colorless-transparent and therefore does not change color on the printed circuit board surface.
Contains "humidity warning": It traps unintentional moisture capsules. When applied to a damp surface, PLASTIK 70 can be soldered for repair work or removed completely with acetone, THINNER FOR PLASTIK 70.
APPLICATIONS
PLASTIK 70 has been specially developed to protect printed circuit boards. It overcomes electrical leakages and short circuits. usable and overcomes disturbing sounds.
PLASTIC 70 can also be used as a universal protective coating on all types of surfaces such as metal, paper, ornaments, paintings, furniture, etc.
INSTRUCTIONS
For small operations and service applications, the easiest way to apply PLASTIK 70 is from an aerosol can. Spray on a dry and degreased surface from a distance of 20 to 30 cm. As a preliminary cleaning of PCBs, we recommend using KONTAKT PCC to remove grease, dirt and flux residues. When spraying is finished, clean the aerosol valve by turning the can upside down and pressing the button until only the propellant comes out.
For mass production runs, PLASTIK 70 in bulk can be applied by brush or dipping. For spraying, dilute two parts PLASTIK 70 with one part THINNER FOR PLASTIK 70 per volume. The exact mixing ratio should be determined by trials with the relevant equipment.
PLASTIC 70 contains solvents such as ethyl acetate and butyl acetate. Printed circuit board materials and electronic components generally have good compatibility with these solvents. A compatibility test is always recommended for plastic surfaces (e.g. housings). It is necessary to test its suitability for plastics that are particularly susceptible to stress cracking (e.g. polycarbonate).
PLASTIC 70 contains flammable solvents and therefore ensure good ventilation in the workplace when working with the product. Remove all possible sources of ignition.
A safety data sheet (SDS) according to EU directive 91/155/EEC and amendments is available for all CRC products.
