Holybro Telemetry Radio is a small, compact, is a lightweight and inexpensive open source radio platform (range can be extended to several kilometers using a patch antenna on the ground). The radio uses open source firmware specifically designed to work well with MAVLink packages and integrate with Mission Planner, Helicopter, Rover and Aircraft.
Radios can be 915Mhz or 433Mhz and you should purchase the appropriate model for your country/region.

The radios have 2 status LEDs, one red and one green. Meaning of the different LED states:
Green LED flashing - searching for another radio
Green LED steady - connection to another radio established
Red LED flashing - data transferring
Stable red LED - in firmware update mode
• Connecting to Pixhawk4
Comes with the radio to connect the radio to "Telem 1" of your Pixhawk4 use the required 6-pin JST-GH connector (“Telem 2” is also available, but the default recommendation is “Telem1”).
• Connecting to a PC
Connecting the radio to your Windows PC It's as simple as connecting the micro USB cable (which should be included with the radio) to your PC. The necessary drivers should automatically install and the radio will appear as a new "USB Serial Port" under Ports (COM and LPT) in the Windows Device Manager. The Planner's COM Port selection drop-down menu must also contain the same new COM port.
