Kontakt 701 Lubricant Vaseline Spray
Pure Vaseline spray used as a lubricant and anti-corrosion product.
PROPERTIES
KONTAKT 701, pure, white Contains pasty Vaseline (paraffin oil that hardens to a paste consistency at room temperature). The product combines the excellent lubricating and anti-corrosion properties of Vaseline with the easy use of an aerosol can: clean and robust handling and storage, mobile and easy, precise dosing.
KONTAKT 701 is suitable for metal, rubber, wood, leather and paraffin oil. Compatible with most materials, including durable (not polycarbonate, polystyrene and EPDM) synthetics and elastomers.
APPLICATIONS
- Battery Terminals
- Cable clamps and screw connectors
- Electrical contacts
- Antenna structure
- Communications engineering
INSTRUCTIONS
- KONTAKT 701 can be accurately dosed as a spray using an extension tube. The aerosol can be used in an upside down position (360° valve), so that even hard-to-reach parts can be treated. Shake the can before use.
- KONTAKT 701 should be applied in relatively thick layers when used as a protective coating against corrosion. Screw and clamp contacts approx. 1mm. As a lubricant, only a thin film is required.
- Many materials, including synthetics, tolerate KONTAKT 701 quite well. However, for mass production runs, a compatibility test must always be performed. In most elastomers, a slight swelling is not critical unless precise dimensional stability is required. KONTAKT 701 is not suitable as a lubricant for, for example, polystyrene, polycarbonate and EPDM rubbers.
- KONTAKT 701 spray contains flammable solvents. Do not use the product on powered equipment. Allow all solvents to evaporate (at least 15 minutes) before operating the equipment.
