MCP2561-E/SN SOIC-8 High Speed CAN Transceiver IC
MCP2561-E/SN is a second generation high speed CAN Transceiver. It acts as an interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus.
The device meets automotive requirements for high speed (1Mb/s), low quiescent current, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electrostatic discharge (ESD). This device provides distinct transmit and receive capability for CAN protocol controller and is fully compliant with ISO-11898-2 and ISO-11898-5 standards. It will operate at speeds up to 1 Mbps. When the device is not energized, the CAN bus pins are disconnected. An unpowered node or blackout event will not load the CAN bus.
