MCP3008-I/SL SOIC-16 SMD Analog Digital Converter IC
MCP3008-I/SL is an 8-channel, 10-bit Analog to Digital (ADC) Converter with SPI interface in a 16-pin SOIC package. This ADC combines high performance and low power consumption in a small package, making it ideal for embedded control applications. The MCP3008 features sequential approach register (SAR) architecture with built-in sample and hold circuitry that allows 10-bit ADC capability to be added to any PIC microcontroller. It can be programmed to provide four pairs of pseudo-differential inputs or eight single-ended inputs. Differential nonlinearity (DNL) and integral nonlinearity (INL) are specified at ±1LSB. Communication with devices is carried out using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. The low current design allows operation with typical standby currents of only 5nA (2µA maximum) and typical active currents of 320µA (500µA maximum).
