MCP41010-I/SN SOIC-8 Smd Digital Potential Integrated
They are 256-position digital potentiometers available in 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ and 100 kΩ resistor versions. It is a single channel device and comes in an 8-pin PDIP or SOIC package. It contains two independent channels in a 14-pin PDIP, SOIC or TSSOP package. The wiper position varies linearly and is controlled via an industry standard SPI interface. Devices consume <1 µA during static operation. A software shutdown feature is provided that disconnects terminal "A" from the resistor stack and simultaneously connects the wiper to terminal "B". Additionally, the binary has a SHDN pin in hardware that serves the same function. During shutdown mode, the contents of the wiper register can be changed and the potentiometer returns to the new value without shutting down. The wiper resets to the midscale position (80 hours) when power is applied. The RS (reset) pin performs a hard reset and also returns the wiper to mid-scale. The SPI interface includes both SI and SO pins and allows daisy chaining of multiple devices. Resistance matching from channel to channel varies by less than 1%. These devices operate from a single 2.7 - 5.5 V supply and are specified in extended and industrial temperature ranges.
