Pixhawk flight controller is a rapidly developing and refined Ardupilot mega or “APM” open source project from 3DR robotics This flight controller allows the user to transform fixed-wing, rotary-wing or multi-wing vehicles (even boats and cars) into a fully autonomous vehicle that can even perform GPS missions programmed with waypoints with the optional GPS Module. It is a full autopilot capable of providing support for two-way telemetry with navigation and radio telemetry modules. 

 

A variety of applications for programming, reviewing logs, even some applications for smartphones and tablets user interfaces available. Optional telemetry radio allows two-way radio communication giving you complete control and delivers live data to your computer or tablet.

 

Advantages of the Pixhawk system include integrated multi-use It features a Unix/Linux-like programming environment, completely new autopilot functions such as complex missions and flight behavior commands, and a custom PX4 driver layer that ensures tight timing between all processes.
