ISO1540 I2C/IIC Isolator Module
Sometimes you can find an I2C bus controller on one side and an I2C bus device on the other, keeping them (electrically) separate You may need to keep it. Maybe one is grounded, maybe you have a weird power monitoring setup, maybe you want to reduce noise.
Whatever the reason, it's full on both sides with the ISO1540 I2C/IIC Isolator Module. You can add electrical insulation. The chip used is ISO1540, full duplex, supports 1 MHz clock speed, supports clock voltage, operates on 3 to 5V DC power or logic (both sides separately of course), has 2500 V-RMS isolation.
There is a JST-SH connection connector input on the product for those who do not want to solder other than the connection pins.
Features:
- Isolated, provides bi-directional, I2C compatible communication
- Supports processing speed up to 1 MHz
- Has a 3 V to 5.5 V supply range
- Open core outputs; Capable of 3.5 mA side 1 and 35 mA side 2 drain current
- Can be used in the operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C
- ±50 kV/μs transient endurance (typical value )
- 4 kV HBM ESD protection on all pins; 8 kV on bus pins
