xBee Modules are perfect for long-range wireless communication and implementing complex mesh networks. However, using them in your projects has always been difficult due to xBee modules' single pin spacing, voltage regulator and level shifter requirements. This shield simplifies these issues and is virtually plug and play using xBee Modules. Using this shield, simply plug your xbee module into the provided socket and plug it into your Arduno UNO. Xbee Shield allows Arduino boards to communicate with each other wirelessly using Zigbee. This Xbee/ZIgbee PRO Shield simplifies the task of interfacing an Xbee/ZIgbee module to Arduino Uno. This module works with all Xbee modules including Zigbee Series 1, Zigbee Series 2 and Xbee Pro versions. The great thing is that it also works with Bluetooth bee Modules.

The built-in slide switch allows you to connect xbee DIN and DOUT lines to the Arduino Microcontroller or USB Port. This means you can use your xBee to communicate with Arduino or computer. You can communicate with the computer to program xbee modules using the XCTU software.
