L293D Arduino Motor Driver Shield
Up to 4 bi-directional DC motors with individual 8-bit speed selection or single-coil, dual-coil, combined or micro A Motor driver shield for Arduino boards that can control 2 stepper motors (unipolar or bipolar). 2 connections for 5V 'hobby' servos connected to Arduino's high resolution custom timer - no vibration!
There are two L293D motor drivers and a 74HC595 on the board. 74HC595 Expresses the Arduino's 3 pins to 8 pins to control the direction of the motor drivers. The output feature of the L293D connects directly to the PWM outputs of the Arduino.

Power supply
The motors can be powered from the Arduino boards DC Jack (normally 9V) or from the 2-pin EXT-PWR terminal block. If you are supplying power from the EXT_PWR terminal block, you must remove the PWR jumper, otherwise you may damage the shield and Arduino board.
